These infographics were created to give you a snapshot of different technology integration models used in education. These models help teachers, researchers, and anyone in the education field consider how to integrate technology in meaningful ways that engage students and enhance learning. The models seek to go beyond the basic use of technology and enter the realm of innovation.
What you may notice is that some build off of another like PICRAT build off RAT, or how RAT and SAMR are similar in how the model is presented and executed. Some are more teacher-centered, and others are more student-centered. The best way to pick a model is to see the needs of your learning environment. Perhaps, each model has its place and time in an educational setting and then evolves into the next. Maybe some teachers will achieve better results with a trifecta like TPACK, while others would enjoy the matric of PICRAT. Just like we do our best to differentiate for our students, we should do the same for the educators we help develop.
